I have recently discovered that Maya Angelou, the renowned poet, singer, and all-around sensational woman, stopped speaking for five (5!) years after having been raped at age seven. And that made me reflect on my very own childhood and the many times I would stop […]
These last few days I have had to process a great deal of low-vibration feelings and emotions. But… there’s a blessing to every situation – and the revelation I had was this: heal the vengeful inner child. We are never angry because of what we think we’re […]
Healing and growing are like peeling an onion: the deeper you go, the more you’ll cry. So let not this process dismantle you, and just now, surrender the need to understand.
Hands up if – whenever something beautiful, loving, and unexpectedly good happens to you, you instantly feel like like you’ll lose it, or have it taken away.
That is FEAR, beloved, and I am facing it these days, too! Now you can see why I thought of sharing 3 FAST techniques that help us stay strong and centred in the face of deep-seated fears and hurtful thoughts 🙂
1) First Generation Thoughts: this is when you walk down the street, in your little bubble of fear, and start noticing things – CAR, BINS, FENCE, STREET, STOPLIGHT. These are all First Generation Thoughts.
Then you think: EXPENSIVE CAR, I’LL NEVER AFFORD IT; GORGEOUS HOUSE, MINE IS NOT AS GOOD, I MUST BE LESS THAN, HMM, PEOPLE DON’T LIKE MY TASTE, NOBODY LOVES ME. These are all Second Generation Thoughts. When you get to Second Generation Thoughts, it means you’ve started inflicted judgement, and therefore created suffering. So we pause, we breathe, and we GO BACK TO First Generation Thoughts. We train our mind like this everyday. Peace restored!
2) Remember Your Divine Nature: and know that you’ve got God, or Life, or the Universe by your side. When you are facing your lover, fearing you’re not worth loving or fighting for, when you are vulnerably showcasing yourself in front of an employer, when you have to argue your case and take a stand for yourself, remember you are nothing but Precious Light; the Greatest Miracle in the World reminds us how:
‘…beginning with that single sperm from your father’s four hundred million, through the hundreds of genes in each of the chromosomes from your mother and father, I could have created three hundred thousand billion humans, each different from the other.
But who did I bring forth?
You! One of a kind. Rarest of the rare. A priceless treasure, possessed of qualities in mind and speech and movement and appearance and actions as no other who has ever lived, lives, or shall live.
Be yourself. Show your rarity to the world and they will shower you with gold.’ – Og Mandino
3) Listen to some radically soul jubilating songs! Because every now and then it all gets a bit too much, and all you’ve gotta do is still your mind 🙂 May I suggest this for the heavy hearted, this for the love birds out there, and this for those of you in need of some feel-good energy 🙂

It is my intention to grow and expand my emotional library this year. Being able to point out specific emotions helps identify exactly what needs healing. Having an extensive emotional library also equips us with clarity, which is quintessential to manifesting the goodness we dream for. […]
Throughout my life, FEAR has been my drug of choice. For some grander reason, that I can’t quite fully comprehend now, fear has always been there for me, slowly turning into a comforting state of mind that I could always evade to. And that’s how fear […]
Anyone who’s met me knows that I have a soft spot for avocados, unnecessary Yakinori take away, totally-not-vegan sea food, salmon and Italian ice-cream… I am flawed and have recently embarked on a healing journey towards observing (without criticising) and living more simply (letting go of fear and attachment).
Now that’s good news, because you CAN have peace from broken pieces (a thing I learned from the brilliant Iyanla Vanzant). And whenever I find myself dealing with blocks and stagnation (but not just on those occasions) I love to chop myself some mangoes, add in some chia seed chocolate pudding and *consciously* enjoy this truly blissful breakfast/dessert treat. Conscious eating does me really good, it grounds my mind in a deep state of peace, whilst cutting down on the constant clutter. It’s what happens – naturally – when you focus attention on the act of eating and start observing the many ways our bodies react to what we’re feeding them.
After all, food is so much more than just calories&co – food is information – so we should all take the time to properly process it <3
The uber-confusing, ever-cleansing and emotionally-challenging rollercoaster that was September has eventually come to an end, so here’s to a splendid October – characterized by abundance, a great deal of unexpected resources coming through and just an overall bountiful four weeks ahead of us. I am dwelving into October […]
Just back from an eye-opening trip to Malta, where I hardly ever ate vegan – and these are some of the things I’ve learned – cause all things (disasters included!) are lessons that god would have us learn 😉 Eating processed, acid forming foods (animal derived […]
Did all those insanely good-looking vegan parfaits on Instagram wreak havoc with your … life in general? Then this is the quick, go-to recipe that’ll get you enjoying one and posting about it all over the Interwebs in no time! (OK, it’ll be around 10 mins tbh)
THE BASE – THE CANVAS OF ATTENTION-GRABBING & OUT OF THIS WORLD YUMMY PARFAITS
Get yourself a decent-sized bowl, and depending on how much parfait you’ll want to indulge in, mix almond/oat/rice milk with chia seeds.
There’s no right ratios to be used when mixing the two, just make sure there’s enough chia to ultimately get a pudding-like/gooey consistency. I also use a fork to mix everything up, but a blender/food processor could come in handy if you’re short on time.
Just before putting the chia pudding into the fridge, for it to get all nice and sturdy, make sure to add in a pinch of vanilla powder (or more – go wild from time to time!) and a tad of vegan sweetener, such as coconut blossom or date paste. You a visual learner, like I am? Then here’s a picture of what our plain canvas should look like 🙂
Chia seeds and oat milk, all mixxxed up for this killer vegan pudding 😍 #HeyTudor #veganfoodporn #vegan #veganfoodshare #healthyliving #healthyeating #healthy #health #chia #pudding #dessert #govegan #veganlife #veganlifestyle #detox #skinny #delicious #sweet #rawvegan #nutrition #protein #plantbased #plantbaseddiet #foodblogger #fruit #lifestyle #foodblog #cute #vegansofig
TURNING IT INTO A PROPER PARFAIT
Okay, this is the easy part. When it comes to parfaits, Mason Jars and layering are the key. My last attempt was all about simplicity, so I only had mango chunks in. But you could go bananas and add … bananas (ahaha!), strawberries, spiced baked apples, coconut yogurt or blueberries for some dramatic blue hues.
Layer the base chia pudding with the toppings of your choice in a pretty mason jar, take a pretty pic (or a gazillion of them trying to snap the perfect one – DON’T ACTUALLY) and go ahead devour it all <3

Staying vegan at uni is, contrary to my grandma’s funny concerns, not that difficult! Let’s go ahead and see how I manage to survive such challenging circumstances (and how you can do that, too!). BREAKFAST Breakfast is always fruit for me. Mangoes are my absolute […]
